PDF Kaam

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This policy explains what PDF Kaam does and does not do with your data. It is written to be read, not to be survived, so the specifics are stated plainly rather than buried in defined terms.

The short version

Your PDF and image files are never uploaded. They are processed inside your own browser tab and never sent to us or to anyone else.

When a tool finishes, the site records five non-identifying facts about the task so we can see which tools people use. No file, no filename, and no identifier is part of that record.

This site shows advertising supplied by Google. Google and its partners may set cookies in your browser and use them to select ads. That is the one part of this site that involves a third party receiving anything about your visit, and it is described in full below.

Your files are not uploaded

Every tool on this site is compiled to WebAssembly and shipped to your browser as part of the page. When you pick a file, your browser reads it from your disk into the memory of the tab, processes it there using your own device, and writes the result back out as a download. The file does not travel over the network at any point.

You do not have to take our word for this. Open your browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run any tool on this site. You will see the page and its assets download, and you will see no request carrying your file.

Because your file is never transmitted, we hold no copy of it. There is no server-side storage to breach, no retention period to run out, and nothing for us to hand over if we were asked to.

What the site records when you run a tool

When a task completes, the page sends one small message to our own server. This is the complete list of what it contains:

  • Which tool was used, for example merge or compress.
  • Whether the task succeeded or failed.
  • Roughly how long it took, rounded to the nearest 10 milliseconds.
  • A size band for the input, such as small or large, rather than the exact byte count.
  • A band for how many files were processed, rather than the exact number.

What that record deliberately does not contain

No filename, no part of any file, and no exact file size. Exact sizes are left out on purpose: a precise byte count at a precise moment is close to unique and could be used to recognise the same person twice, whereas a band answers the same product question and cannot.

No cookie, no account, no login, no device fingerprint, and no identifier of any kind. By construction there is no way to link two of these records to the same person or the same visit.

No IP address, user agent, or location is written into that record. Our hosting provider necessarily sees the network connection itself, as described under Hosting below.

If your browser sends the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded at all. If the code cannot read those signals for any reason, it treats you as having opted out.

Cookies and browser storage

PDF Kaam sets no cookies of its own. We do not use analytics cookies, and we store nothing in local storage to identify or track you.

Advertising is the exception. Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies in your browser as described in the next section. Those cookies are set by Google, not by us, and we cannot read them.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may themselves use cookies to measure and select what is shown.

You can turn off personalised advertising at any time in Google's Ads Settings, at adssettings.google.com. Personalised advertising from many other vendors can be turned off at aboutads.info/choices, or at youronlinechoices.eu if you are in Europe. Turning personalisation off does not remove ads; it changes how they are chosen.

Google's own explanation of what it collects when you use a site in its advertising network is published at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not receive your identity or your browsing history from Google; we receive aggregate reporting about ad performance.

The advertising code is loaded separately from the tools and is never given a file, a filename, or a result. If you block ads, every tool on this site continues to work exactly as it does otherwise.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the network requests needed to deliver the page to you, and this necessarily involves your IP address. That is a function of how the internet works and is true of every website you visit.

We do not maintain our own server logs of your visit beyond what is described above, and we do not combine any hosting data with the task records described above.

What we cannot do, because we do not have it

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. We take those rights seriously, which is why it matters to be precise here: we do not hold personal data about you to access, correct, or delete.

There is no account, no email address on file, no identifier, and no copy of any file you processed. If you write to us asking what we hold about you, the honest and complete answer is nothing that is linked to you. Requests concerning advertising cookies need to go to Google, since those cookies are set by Google and readable only by Google.

Children

This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included, because we do not collect personal information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will change with it. We will not quietly broaden what is collected while leaving this text as it stands.
