Email reaches us faster than post does. The address is here because a site that shows advertising should say plainly who operates it and where, not because letters are the intended route.
If a tool did not work, tell us this
Because your file never reaches us, we cannot look at it to find out what went wrong. That makes the details in your email the only evidence we have. The following turns a report we cannot act on into one we can:
- Which tool you used, and the exact address of the page you were on.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- The browser and version, and whether you were on a phone, tablet, or computer.
- Roughly how large the file was and how many pages it had.
- Any message shown on the page, copied exactly.
- Whether it fails every time or only sometimes.
Please do not email us your document
The entire point of this site is that your files stay on your device, and we would rather not become the exception to that. Do not attach the file you were working on. If a document is needed to reproduce a problem, tell us the shape of it and we will try to build a similar one ourselves, or we will ask you specific questions.
Things we genuinely cannot help with
We cannot recover a file you processed. We never received a copy, so there is nothing on our side to retrieve. If a download went wrong, the original file is still on your device and the tool can be run again.
We cannot open a PDF whose password you do not know. Our password tool removes a password you already have. It does not crack or bypass encryption, and we will not attempt to unlock a document for you.
We cannot make compression shrink a text-only PDF much. That is a limitation of the method rather than a bug, and it is explained on the compress page.
Response time
This is a small team and there is no guaranteed response time. We read everything that arrives and reply to what we can. Reports that include the details listed above get answered first, simply because they are the ones we can act on.
