PDF Kaam

About PDF Kaam

PDF Kaam is a set of free PDF tools that do their work inside your browser instead of on a server. This page explains who runs it and why it is built the way it is.

Who runs PDF Kaam

PDF Kaam is built and operated by Anujit Technosoft. The site is a small, focused project rather than a venture-funded platform, and it is run as a product we use ourselves.

You can reach us at [email protected]. There is no support ticket system and no phone queue; email reaches the people who build the site.

What the site does

PDF Kaam offers eight tools: merge, split, compress, rotate, PDF to JPG, JPG to PDF, add or remove a password, and watermark. All of them are free, none of them require an account, and none of them stamp a watermark on your output or cap how many times you can use them.

The tools are ordinary PDF operations. What is unusual is where they run.

Why it works this way

Most online PDF tools upload your file to a server, process it there, and send the result back. That is a straightforward way to build a website. It is a poor fit for the documents people actually convert: salary slips, income tax acknowledgements, Aadhaar and PAN scans, marksheets, bank statements, and medical reports.

Once a document like that is sitting on someone else's machine, your privacy depends on their retention policy, their security, and their good behaviour. You cannot verify any of it.

PDF Kaam moves the processing to your side. The PDF libraries are compiled to WebAssembly and run in your browser, on your device, using your CPU. The file never travels. This is not a promise you have to trust: open your browser's Network tab and watch for yourself.

There is a second effect. Because our server does no work, serving one user costs us essentially nothing, so the usual restrictions have no reason to exist. That is why there is no task limit, no size tier, and no account wall.

What we do not do

We do not upload, store, inspect, or transmit your files. We do not ask for an email address. We do not set tracking cookies of our own, and we do not build a profile of you.

We are also honest about what the tools cannot do, on the tool pages themselves rather than in the fine print. Compression works by recompressing images inside the PDF, so it does a lot for a scanned document and very little for a text-only one. Removing a password requires the password. Word to PDF conversion is not offered, because it cannot be done accurately in a browser and we would rather offer nothing than offer something that mangles your document.

How it is paid for

The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. That is the entire business model at present: there is no paid tier, and your files are not the product.

Advertising is worth being straightforward about. It means Google's ad code runs on these pages and may set cookies in your browser, which is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. It does not mean anyone gets access to your documents. The ad code is loaded separately from the tools and is never handed a file, a filename, or a result, and every tool keeps working with an ad blocker switched on.
